10 travelling educational courses planned for May

May will see a busy month on the IHF travelling educational courses calendar, concentrated in Africa and Asia. A total of 10 courses are due to take place, across the IHF C and D Licence Coaching and IHF Trophy programmes.

Five courses will be held on the fringe of IHF Trophy Africa events, starting in Harare, Zimbabwe, where Ola Lindgren will run the course for IHF Trophy Africa Zone VI from May 6 to 11.

Two IHF Trophy Africa courses will take place from May 13 to 17, with the Zone II programme taking place in Nouakchott, Mauritania and the lecturer still to be confirmed, and the Zone V course in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia led by Professor Khaled Hammouda. Alain Dessertenne will oversee the IHF Trophy Africa Zone IV course in Yaoundé, Cameroon from May 21 to 25. Finally, Guy Petitgirard will lead the Zone VII course in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Two IHF C Licence Coaching Courses will take place in May, starting with the first in Baghdad, Iraq, from May 17 to 24. Dr Taiysir Mansi will lead the course in Baghdad. The second IHF C Licence Coaching Course will be in Marrakesh. In Morocco, Dr Nahla Boudhina will run the programme from the 24th to 31st.

The IHF D Licence Coaching Courses on the card for May will be held in Benin and Kuwait. In Benin, Gilles Malfondet will oversee the course in Cotonou from May 19 to 23. In Kuwait, Dr Khaled Alsharji will lead what will be the first of two D Licence Coaching Courses in Kuwait City. The first will take place from May 19 to 23, and the second, concluding May’s programme of travelling educational courses, will be on May 26 to 30. The two courses occurring in Kuwait are due to the number of participants expected, with a high level of interest from coaches and physical education teachers in the country.
